How we work, and the terms of using this site
Straight Verdict exists to warn people about the fraud advertised to them on Facebook. We try to be exact about what we claim, where it comes from, and what is opinion versus fact. This page explains that — and sets the terms for using the site.

1 · What Straight Verdict is
Straight Verdict is an independent publication that assesses brands, stores, and scam patterns advertised on Facebook (and, where relevant, Instagram). We publish a verdict and a 1–10 trust score for each, with the evidence shown.
We never take payment from the companies we rate. No brand can pay to change, improve, remove, or suppress its score. Our assessments are not for sale.
2 · Our verdicts are opinion, based on public evidence
Each verdict is our editorial opinion, formed from the public evidence cited on that verdict’s page, and accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the date it was published. Scores and labels (“scam”, “overhyped”, “caution”, “legit”) are our judgment, not statements of objective fact. Facts change; a page reflects what was documented when we wrote it.
Where we describe something as fact — a regulator’s warning, a court filing, a complaint total, a registration record — we link the source so you can check it yourself.
Two different judgments, deliberately kept apart. We use “scam”only where there is documented fraud — goods paid for and never sent, brand impersonation, a regulator’s action. We use “overhyped” for something different: a lawful business — typically a course, coaching programme or other paid offer — whose marketing we consider misleading or poor value, most often because income or results are promised without substantiation. “Overhyped” is a criticism of claims and value. It is not an allegation of fraud or of any criminal conduct, and it should not be read as one.
3 · How we source and verify
Verdicts draw on public, checkable sources: regulator and consumer-protection notices (e.g. FTC, FCA, BBB, national trading-standards bodies), security-industry research, company and domain registration records, and documented consumer reporting. Every verdict lists its sources.
We prefer to describe documented patterns and scam operations rather than accuse a single named company, and we hold named cases to a higher bar. Where a real, legitimate brand is being impersonated by a scam, we say so plainly and identify that brand as a victim, not the perpetrator.
4 · Reader reports are submitted by readers
Verdict pages may show verified reader reports. These are first-hand accounts submitted by members of the public, not written by us. We ask each reporter for proof of purchase and review it before a report is shown, but the report is the reader’s own statement of their experience. Reader reports are separate from, and do not change, our editorial score.
5 · Right of reply and corrections
If you represent a company we’ve named and believe something is inaccurate, we want to hear it and we will act on it. Email contactsolvion@gmail.com with the page, the specific claim, and the evidence. We review correction requests promptly and will correct, add context, or remove material where the facts warrant it.
6 · Not professional advice
Straight Verdict is for general information only. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, investment, or consumer-protection advice, and it is not a substitute for your own due diligence or for advice from a qualified professional. Decisions you make are your own.
7 · Third-party links and content
We link to external sources and reports. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.
8 · Using this site
You may read, share, and link to our pages. You may not scrape, republish wholesale, or misrepresent our content as your own or as fact rather than opinion. When you submit a report, you confirm it is truthful, your own experience, and that any proof you upload is genuine and yours to share.
9 · Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Straight Verdict and its operators are not liable to users for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or its content. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
10 · Changes and contact
We may update these terms and our standards; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Questions, corrections, or reports: contactsolvion@gmail.com.
